The Last of Us Part II Releases New Trailer at Paris Games Week

PlayStation’s Paris Games Week show closed with a familiar title in The Last of Us Part II. We hadn’t seen or heard much about the upcoming title since it was announced at PlayStation Experience last year. Today we got a trailer for The Last of Us Part II. New characters were shown off, as there was no clear indication of the first game’s protagonists, Joel and Ellie, being present. You can check out the trailer below, but be warned, it is not intended for children… Or the squeamish.

This leads to more questions than answers for the upcoming Naughty Dog title. Where and when does The Last of Us Part II take place during the course of the series? Could we be playing as other characters to see how their story unfolds and not just Joel and Ellie? In fact, how big of a role do Joel and Ellie play in this game? All we know is what was revealed last year when Neil Druckmann, Creative Director at Naughty Dog, stated that Ellie would be the main character and that the game will feel more “hateful”. There’s no denying from the trailer that it is definitely more brutal and also features some amazing motion capture like Druckmann promised last year.

Following Playstation’s Paris Games Week show, Druckmann, said with Uncharted: The Lost Legacy released, the full Naughty Dog Team is now focused on The Last of Us Part II. Now we have to hope it won’t be another year until we see more of the Last of Us sequel.

What do you think gamers, are you excited to see more of The Last of Us Part II? Do you have your own questions or theories about the sequel? Let us know in the comment section below.
