Kotaku released a few photos of what appeared to be a Monster Hunter game playing on the PlayStation Vita. The photos appeared on a Chinese bulletin board, and show a screen shot of the game inside the screen borders of a Vita.

There is an air of caution regarding the rumour however, as Kotaku updated their post, showing another screenshot that clearly shows a “Fraps” logo on the top of the screenshot. Fraps is a computer based video-capture device that is commonly used by many players to record a variety of games. This implies that the leaked screen-shots are merely photo-shopped images.

Kotaku has since apologized for getting the hopes up of fans of the series.
