The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth was released in October of 2015 as DLC to the wildly popular The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth. Edmund McMillen is never one to shy away from more work, so he has begun teasing a new project titled The Legend of Bum-bo. It will be a “turn based puzzle RPG type thingy thats randomly generated,” according to McMillen.
Some small hints of information about the game and who will be working on it was shared by McMillen. He will be working on the design of the game, writing, and also handling the 2d art and character designs. Meanwhile, James Id who has worked with McMillen often, will be in charge of the programming of the 3d elements of the art. Ridiculon, who worked on The Binding of Isaac soundtracks, will return to compose music for The Legend of Bum-bo.
The logo above has a strong The Binding of Isaac vibe going on, and the post regarding this new title was made on The Binding of Isaac Tumblr – two things which McMillen seems aware of in his teasing of the game. More details about why Isaac is being teased as a link to the game will come over the next couple months as more information is released.
