Life Is Strange Sequel Now In Development

DONTNOD Entertainment have confirmed that a new Life is Strange is in development after sharing the news that the game has sold over 3 million copies.

In a tumblr post, the developer announced the news but have not shown anything yet. They state, “We can’t wait to tell you all about it when the time is right, but for now we are hard at work ensuring it is the very best game we can create.” Unfortunately, the game will not be unveiled at E3 2017, but they have said that the original team of the game is working on the project.

Michael Koch, the co-game director and art director of Life is Strange, said to Polygon at E3 2015, “We can really go with other characters, other locations, but still keep the identity of the game, the themes of the game.” According to the website, he likened this idea to TV shows that have a new cast each season, such as True Detective and American Horror Story. Whether or not DONTNOD is sticking to this idea, or will continue Max and Chloe’s adventures, is yet to be confirmed. We’re not even sure if the game will remain episodic!

The game has gained a huge following with over 915,000 followers on Twitter and over 3 million copies sold. If you are curious about Life is Strange, you can download the first episode on all available platforms for free. You can also check out our review.
