Square Enix went full circle today when announcing the release date for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII for the PC. December 10th is the date to look out for if you want to play the final chapter in the Final Fantasy XIII trilogy on your PC. All previously released PS3 DLC, except for the Aerith schema (or costume if you will), are included in the PC version from the get go.
The PS3 version of Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII had some bonuses that were unlocked if the game found save game data from Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy XIII-2. According to the game’s Steam page, these bonuses will be unlocked in PC version even if no save data can be found. Good news for first time buyers of the game.
A 10% Steam discount will be in effect during the games first week in the wild, starting on December 10th.
