Beginning as an award-winning student project, Puddle catapulted onto Xbox Live Arcade and Playstation network early this year. It released to positive critical acclaim and was an enjoyable take on the platform-puzzler genre as instead of controlling a character, you would tilt the world and initiate reactions to guide a puddle of liquid through each level.

Sony has now decided that Puddle would be a good fit for their PS Vita handheld as rather than using analog sticks to do the tilting, players can use the built-in gyroscope to control Puddle’s in-game physics. Publisher Konami has not yet given a release date on the Vita version, though they have said that it will be available “soon”.

Until then, Puddle is available on PSN for $9.99 and XBLA for 800 Microsoft Points.
