Lords Of The Fallen 2 Being Worked On By New Studio

Deck 13, Lords of the Fallen

Lords of the Fallen had plenty of people talking when it originally released. However, after that, it seemingly dropped off the radar. Now, though, CI Games has confirmed a sequel is still happening. However, Lords of the Fallen 2 is being handled by a different developer.

CI Games CEO Marek Tymiński released a statement, saying:

We talked to a number of globally respected studios that had shown a strong interest in making the next LotF, and received several solid pitches. We finally decided to move forward with Defiant because we were impressed with their game concept, production expertise, and the pedigree of their developers.

The developer hasn’t released many other details on Lords of the Fallen 2. The sequel was announced when the original game released. This was back in 2014.  CI Games’ Tomasz Gop, who was released back in June 2017, said that development was taking longer than expected. When Mr. Gop worked on the game, it was still in very early stages.

At the time, he said:

Almost two years [since 2015] I’ve been working on the sequel and I have not seen it leave the concept/vision stage. I was working on something I was really 100 per cent into and we were not producing the game.”

According to Gop, CI Games’ ambitions for the sequel had been heavily downsized following the disappointing Sniper Ghost Warrior 3. Where Lords of the Fallen 2 will go in the hands of Defiant remains unclear. All that’s known about the game at the moment is that it will be released on consoles and PC.

However, almost no other details have been released about the game after four years of development. All we really know is that the game is in development. This announcement brings almost no new information to the table aside from Defiant’s involvement.
