Lose Your Mind with Lovecraftian Horror Game Conarium This June

H.P. Lovecraft has so much insanity that it makes sense that a lot of developers love the idea of working within his works. Conarium is a new game coming to PC on June 6th that looks like it might have a lot to offer for both horror and Lovecraft fans. The launch trailer below is tense, frightening, and extremely atmospheric. The game will launch on PC via Steam and other digital retailers for $19.99.

For Lovecraft fans, Conarium is inspired by ‘At the Mountains of Madness’, which was a novella written by H.P. Lovecraft in 1935. However, the game takes place after the events of the novella. Players will take control of Frank Gilman, who awakes to find that something is amiss within the Antarctic Base where research was being conducted by four scientists. What kind of research? Well, the game will set you on a path to discover the specifics, but you can tell that the chances of it being something good is probably unlikely.

There will be plenty of secrets and Easter eggs for Lovecraft fans, as well as a fittingly grim and dark soundtrack. As you can see in the trailer, the game utilizes the Unreal Engine 4 for some beautiful and atmospheric visuals that are sure to help players lose their minds in more ways than one. Combine that with multiple endings to the game, and Conarium sounds like a really interesting experience.
