Street Fighter V just dropped their 2021 Summer Update. This update had a lot of exciting news for Street Fighter fans.
The biggest announcement was that of their newest character: Luke. He is a brand new character to the Street Fighter universe. Luke comes out November 2021.
This is not the only exciting news. On August 16th, the wandering hermit Oro and Rival Schools Akira will also join the Street Fighter V roster. Along with these playable characters, a new map is set to drop.
Oro, originally a character from Street Fighter III, is returning in a modest purple robe and pet turtle. He swaps his turtle from his left to right side both to challenge himself and maintain his balance. Oro will be retaining many of his moves from Street Fighter III, however there will be new moves for players to master.
Originally from Rival Schools, Akira Kazama is a long-awaited addition to the Street Fighter V roster. Dressed in stylish, black biker gear, she is equipped with a balanced mix of long and short-range moves.
The newest map is Rival Riverside. It is a reimagining from her Rival Schools debut. Taking place during sunset, near a recognizable river, long-time fans will enjoy the familiar faces seen in the crowd of this map.
Oro, Akira, and Luke are available with the Street Fighter V Season 5 Character Pass or Premium Pass. Oro, Akira, and Akira’s brand new stage “Rival Riverside” will all be available starting August 16.
