Mad Max Gets Madder About the Cars He Drives and Wrecks

It’s been a busy week of hype for Avalanche Studios. While their cracking their knuckles for their no doubt destructive gameplay reveal of Just Cause 3, they’re not one to forget about the one desert drag racer they’re giving a game this year.

Yes, Mad Max is still mad about a whole lot of things and they include the cutthroat thieves and looters running around the remnants of the post-apocalypstic American southwest…and the people he left behind.

The game’s latest trailer below might be considered a spoiler of sorts for anyone that hasn’t seen the original Mel Gibson-led Mad Max film thanks to a few revealing references, so tune out if one of those concerned. If not, enjoy a partially first-person look at what it means to be Mad Max for a day: driving cars, wrecking cars, and breaking bones.

Avalanche Studio’s Mad Max releases this September 1st right alongside its scruffy peers of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain the same day and just months ahead of Tom Hardy’s take on the road warrior this coming May.
