Magic the Gathering, a complex card game that millions play around the world, is now going to have Planeswalker figures for sale. The cute-chibi style Pop! Vinal figures from Funko will soon include the first series of M:TG Planeswalkers including Garruk Wildspeaker, Jace Berleren, Chandra Nalaar, Liliana Vess, Ajani Goldmane and Nissa Revane. This first set of M:TG Pop! Vinal Planeswalkers will be for sale in April 2014.
Pop! Vinyl figures are 3.75 inches tall. In addition to the adorable Pop! Vinyls, Funko is also releasing a brand new Legacy Collection line featuring 6 inch deluxe Planeswalker action figures with removable accessories (ages 14+) which will be available in August 2014.
Within the game you take on the role of a Planeswalker, one who is able to travel through the Aether to reach planes in the game’s world of the Multiverse. You use spells and summon creatures to snuff out your opponent’s life. The card game is played both physically and digitally. The online game, Magic the Gathering: Duels of the Planeswalkers, is available on Xbox 360, PS3, Windows and through the Apple App Store. If you are a M:TG fan then these new figures will be very dear to your heart and a must to collect.
