The air is cooler, the kiddies are off to school and it’s time for a new Magic the Gathering block! Welcome to the plane of Kaladesh and to the Inventor’s Fair!
The Wizards of the Coast MTG R&D team has created a world filled with wonder and cool inventions. An unlimited mana source is available to any participating inventor to fuel their ornate and beautiful creations. Kaladesh is home to the slightly familiar inventions and to the ones planeswalkers have only dreamed about. The new Magic set is officially releasing in stores on Saturday, September 30th. But those who want to get a hold of the cards a full week before they are released can participate in their local card shop’s Pre-release events.
At a Pre-release, planeswalkers (the players) are given a pack containing: a random date-stamped premium promo card, a constructable thopter (a desk ornament), 6 Kaladesh booster packs, an insert filled with advice on deckbuilding, and a spin down life counter (20-sided die). Those participating in the casual tournaments have the chance to place and win Kaladesh packs!
Kaladesh Pre-release weekend is September 24-25 in local card shops. You can find out which participating store is closest to you by visiting the Magic locator website.
