Nintendo’s Current Network Status webpage has posted the eShop will undergo extended maintenance on March 13, 2014. No information regarding the reason behind it was revealed.
March 10-11, 2014 Online Play, Rankings for Pokemon X and Y will undergo heavy maintenance too. Nintendo has warned on the page, “During the extended maintenance, parts of the affected services may be intermittently unavailable”.
