Nintendo has released the patch for Mario Kart 7 which eliminates the ability to skip large sections on certain race tracks.

Racing online has been anything but fair due to cheaters deliberately exploiting the glitches and choosing broken levels on which to play.

The patch fixes the Wuhu Mountain Loop glitch and fixes for Wuhu Island Lood and Bowser Castle 1 courses.

Gamers attempting to play online without applying the patch will see: “In order to use online services, a newer version of this software is required.”

The update, which requires the latest 3DS firmware, can be found in the 3DS eShop.

The patch can also be found using the following QR code with the 3DSs’ camera.
