Nintendo has revealed the dates for its Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Online Open. Start your engines, because NA players will get the chance to participate starting January 17. The date was announced through Nintendo of America’s official Twitter page. So, you should start preparing yourself for the possibility of earning a prize like none other. What’s The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe January NA Open?
Let’s get this out of the way, there is a very attractive prize for those who manage to reach the top. Indeed, the Top 8 players will walk away with more than just bragging rights. The players who make it to the top will come out with 2,500 Nintendo Gold Points each.
That’s ~$25 USD worth of free credit for your next purchase, by the way. So, if that isn’t an incentive for players to participate, we don’t know what is. With that said, there are a few requirements that participants must meet before being able to… Well, participate.
Participants in the U.S. and Canada must be at least 13 years of age or older. All the while, participants in Mexico must be 18 years or older. Otherwise, anyone with the game, a Nintendo Switch and a viable internet connection are free to join in on the fun.
The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe January NA Open will be running from Jan. 17 and continue until Jan 19. Each day, players will be able to participate for the top slots between 12 p.m. and 6 p.m. PST, with a maximum of 24 races per player tallied toward their final totals.
