Merchandise Monkey, an online-based UK retailer, has confirmed today that a 48-hour flash sale is now taking place on all of its Metal Gear Solid merchandise.
Ranging from FOXHOUND dog tags to various Metal Gear Solid T-shirts, the sale coincides with the official announcement of a release date for Hideo Kojima’s highly anticipated Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain—although the launch date had been leaked earlier this week.
“We’ve been massive fans of the Metal Gear series since day one and like everyone else we’re super excited to get our hands on the next episode,” a Merchandise Monkey representative explained.
“The sense of anticipation around the release of the 5th major instalment of the franchise is palpable. To celebrate we’re offering Metal Gear fans worldwide the chance to stock up on some quality merch at a fantastic discounted rate.”
All Metal Gear Solid products have been discounted by 20%, while the sale will end at 2:00 p.m. GMT on March 4th, 2015, according to Merchandise Monkey.
“We’d urge all Metal Gear Solid fans to keep an eye on our site for further additions to the range as the release date nears — we have some amazing new products in the pipeline,” the representative added.
Last month, Merchandise Monkey revealed that it was beginning to take pre-orders on its officially licensed merchandise for Ready at Dawn’s The Order: 1886.
