Metal Gear Solid HD Collection will be released for the PlayStation Vita on June 29, Konami announced today.

The Metal Gear Solid HD Collection includes PlayStation 2 classics Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Both titles sport updated graphics and will employ Kojima Productions’ proprietary Transfarring system which allows players to transfer their games’ save data from the PlayStation 3 to the PlayStation Vita and vice versa.

The Vita version of Metal Gear Solid HD Collection will utilize the unique input mechanics of the Vita. Players will be able to zoom in on the cut-scenes, peek around corners, interrogate enemies, cycle through weapons/items and perform quick attacks with their knife by simply using the front and rear touch-screens.
