Metro Redux from Deep Silver launching this Summer

<p>It has been speculated for some time now that Deep Silver would bring re-mastered versions of both Metro 2033 and Metro&colon; Last Light to next-gen systems&period; Today&comma; Deep Silver and 4A Games confirmed they&&num;8217&semi;ll be releasing both games under one title called Metro Redux&period; This &&num;8220&semi;true director&&num;8217&semi;s cut&&num;8221&semi; will be released for PS4&comma; Xbox One&comma; PC&comma; Mac&comma; Linux&comma; and SteamOS&period; Deep Silver is promising both games will be a &&num;8220&semi;complete remaster&&num;8221&semi;&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Building off of the engine 4A Games used for Last Light&comma; the team has overhauled Metro 2033&period; When released&comma; gamers should expect to see many improvements with graphic quality and game mechanics&period; Visual improvements will consist of a new lighting engine as well as brand new cinematics shot in the first person perspective&period; As for gameplay&comma; 4A has taken some elements from Last Light and brought them over to 2033&period; For example&comma; players will now be able to clean their mask in case their is condensation build up or some stray blood splatter&period; The team has also spent time improving upon combat mechanics and weapon customization&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Due to the improved processing power of next-gen systems&comma; 4A has taken it upon themselves to improve the overall level detail in Metro 2033&period; Along with improved visuals&comma; the game will now include day&sol;night cycles as well as expanding or connecting certain levels&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><script height&equals;"422px" width&equals;"750px" src&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;player&period;ooyala&period;com&sol;iframe&period;js&num;ec&equals;9ybDYwbjpUnXG-CL6uYJ5A41AbUcL5-Y&&num;038&semi;pbid&equals;2ff6d6fff2b2457bb9ea2cfcf77dc25b"><&sol;script><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Since Last Light has been released recently&comma; the team hasn&&num;8217&semi;t had to make as many extreme changes&period; However&comma; players should see improvements to graphics as the team plans to overhaul them&period; Some of the gameplay improvements are based on fan feedback&comma; which means in-game&comma; players will now be able to keep track of their inventory as well as check their watch&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Both games can be played with either the Survival or Spartan difficulty modes&period; For fans of the series&comma; Survival is based off the gameplay style of Metro 2033&comma; which means players will face tougher enemies coupled with limited supplies and slower re-loading speeds&period; Spartan mode is based off of Last Light&&num;8217&semi;s gameplay style which plays more like modern action games&period; For the true diehard&comma; Range mode is available for both games&period; In this mode&comma; players will not have the benefit of a HUD and be subjected to &&num;8220&semi;hardcore rules&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>For those who might prefer to download games&comma; Deep Silver is offering games the ability to download each title for &dollar;24&period;99&period; Disc based consumers can buy both titles in one package for &dollar;49&period;99&period; The Redux package will also include all of Last Light&&num;8217&semi;s downloadable content&period; PlayStation 4&comma; Windows PC and Xbox One versions will be released this summer&comma; with Linux&comma; Mac and SteamOS versions to follow later in the year&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Deep Silver brand manager Huw Beynon has confirmed the PS4 version will run at 60fps with 1080p resolution&comma; with the Xbox One running at 900p and 60fps&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>via <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;polygon&period;com&sol;2014&sol;5&sol;22&sol;5739550&sol;metro-redux-trailer-2033-last-light" target&equals;"&lowbar;blank">Polygon<&sol;a><&sol;p>&NewLine;
