Things in the next-gen market were turned up a notch last week as Sony finally revealed their PlayStation 4 console. As the world watched the controller being revealed alongside the bucket load of games we’ll soon be playing, many wondered and made suggestions through forums/social media in regards to Microsoft’s console announcement… the same announcement that may be sooner than you think.
Microsoft have recently registered a new domain entitled XboxEvent.com with Eventcore which are the agency that handled Microsoft’s E3 press conference registration site last year. Whilst it is obvious that Microsoft will have to register this domain, or similar, soon it’s interesting to note that both VGC247 and The Verge have gone on record by stating that they have heard rumours from numerous inside sources that this one-off event will be in April.
