Earlier today Microsoft set Forza fans minds racing and hears aflutter earlier today with the announcement of a partnership with V8 Supercars Australia that will net the already-impressive roster of cars for upcoming racing game ‘Forza Motorsport 6’ 10 very speedy new additions.
Set to launch later this year on September 15th this partnership means that fans will see all 10 in the current 2015 V8 Supercar series grace the race-tracks in the sixth installment of the popular racing franchise.
Featuring supercars from five different manufacturers (Volvo, Holden, Mercedes, Nissan and Erebus), this partnership also marks the first time that every single manufacturer will be represented in-game.
The list of Supercars that will be bundled thanks to this announcement are as follows:
- 2015 #17 Xbox Racing Ford Falcon FG X (announced prior to the other nine, earlier this month)
- 2015 Holden #22 Holden Racing Team VF Commodore
- 2015 Ford #5 Pepsi Max Crew PRA Falcon FG X
- 2015 Volvo #33 Wilson Security Racing GRM S60
- 2015 Holden #1 Red Bull Racing Australia VF Commodore
- 2015 Mercedes-Benz #4 Erebus Motorsport E63 AMG
- 2015 Mercedes-Benz #9 Erebus Motorsport E63 AMG
- 2015 Nissan #23 Nissan Motorsport Altima
- 2015 Holden #97 Tekno Autosports VF Commodore
- 2015 Holden #14 Lockwood Racing VF Commodore
These cars, alongside a slew of other new features – such as iconic race-tracks, the voice-over work of an equally iconic racing legend and a unique “livery creation tool” that will let you have a hand in replicating any vehicle you desire – are what Microsoft is banking on for the next chapter in their racing saga.
