Did you know that (at the time of writing) it is only 157 days, less than 23 weeks away from E3 2013!? Nope, neither did we but Major Nelson has decided that we should be more than aware of the days by posting a countdown clock on his blog… already.
It is widely expected that E3 2013 will be the time and place when Microsoft (and arguably Sony) show off their next-generation consoles for the first time; after all, it has been more than seven years since the Xbox 360 originally launched so a new console would be nice to end 2013 with.
For comparison, the PlayStation 3 launched a year later in 2006, meaning that console has been on the market for more than six years.
With games retailers blaming the long console-generation for troubled cash-flows, everyone should be happy come the end of the year as long as the predictions of two new consoles becomes a reality.
