Microsoft has confirmed the next two titles to be made available as part of the Xbox 360 Games with Gold promotion which is trying to compete with PlayStation Plus, a service that gives subscribers free retail games simply for signing up and paying the monthly fee.
Speculation began online when two Polish gaming sources spotted promotional artwork on the Xbox 360 Online Center website which showed Crackdown as one of the free Games with Gold promotion. Microsoft later confirmed that this was indeed one of the two games that will be made free next month.
The other game will be Dead Rising 2 (including the standalone episode Case Zero). Crackdown is available now until August 16th whilst Dead Rising 2 and Case Zero will become free from August 16th until the end of August.
