Microsoft to hold E3 Media Briefing on June 9

<p>E3 is thirty three days away and Microsoft knows that it can&&num;8217&semi;t have a repeat of last year&period; That sound you hear from the state of Washington&comma; is Microsoft gathering up all their chips and pushing them into the center of the table&period; Microsoft has but no option to either go big or go home&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>According to Major Nelson&&num;8217&semi;s blog&comma; the Xbox E3 2014 media briefing will take place at 12&colon;30 p&period;m&period; Eastern&sol;9&colon;30 a&period;m&period; Pacific June 9&period; Microsoft is calling this year&&num;8217&semi;s presentation Xbox&colon; Game On and they are publicly saying it will cover &&num;8220&semi;everything from in-depth looks at previously announced games to trailers for our unannounced games coming in 2014 and beyond&period;&&num;8221&semi;  In an effort to reach out to their consumers&comma; there will be other &&num;8220&semi;fan-centric events&&num;8221&semi; during the week of E3&comma; which will be announced as the dates get closer&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Phil Spencer&comma;who has taken over as the mouthpiece of Xbox since the departure of Don Mattrick&comma; has been vocal in saying that this years event will be all about games&period; He is astutely aware that they didn&&num;8217&semi;t show enough games last year and that is the number one thing Xbox consumers will be looking for this year&period; He has mentioned that there won&&num;8217&semi;t be a strong corporate presence at the briefing as they will opt to shift the focus to the games and it&&num;8217&semi;s developers&period; Look for Microsoft to announce new games&comma; dive deeper into currently announced titles and if we&&num;8217&semi;re lucky there will even be some surprises&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Via <a title&equals;"Read the original story at IGN&excl;" href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;go&period;ign&period;com&sol;1ioTRmB" target&equals;"&lowbar;blank">IGN<&sol;a><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
