<p>Microsoft has announced that they will not be attending <a href="https://mail.tradefairtrips.co/l/TMDMr3wvBQQoKV0p8mnwsw/nfk2Tv4X6fnaenVlPHJh6g/nfk2Tv4X6fnaenVlPHJh6g" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Gamescom</a> or the Tokyo Game Show. They will instead be relying on their partners and own events.</p>
<p>Microsoft said they are not abandoning Japan and has promotions planned for the end of the year.</p>
<p>Microsoft said they recognize the importance of the Tokyo Game Show. The company has always struggled in Japan so their absence may not be as noticeable. Their absence at Gamescom will be more noticeable, as well as Nintendo’s. This pretty much leaves Gamescom wide open for Sony.</p>
