Developer Monolith Productions has announced its highly anticipated title, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, will be moved one week ahead of its initial release date.
September 30th is now the release date for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, while PC and Steam users will be receiving the title on October 2nd.
Publisher Warner Bros. released a statement saying that the decision to move Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor’s release date ahead of its initial schedule was due to “hearing fans’ excitement” for the title.
Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor takes place between the events of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, as the player assumes the role of a ranger, Talion (voiced by Troy Baker), who is resurrected by a Wraith and embarks on his quest for revenge against the Dark Lord Sauron.
