As reported last year, Minecraft: Story Mode will be coming to Wii U and is the first Telltale game to grace the Wii U. Fans who had been looking forward to this release can expect it on the North American and European Nintendo eShop for Wii U on January 21st, 2016 at $4.99 for the first episode. Episodes two to five will be made available in the coming weeks, as well as in the form of a season pass that will include every episode except the first. This season pass will retail at $19.99 and be available after the release of episode one.
Wii U-specific features are being added to this particular version of Minecraft: Story Mode, from off-TV play to mirroring of game controls onto the gamepad itself. This will be in addition to the extensive voice cast already present in Minecraft: Story Mode and unique narrative.
The game has already been out on other major platforms, and we’ve reviewed the first four episodes, including the first episode. Minecraft: Story Mode was beaten to the punch of being the first Minecraft title in the series to be released on Wii U as late last year, Minecraft was finally released on the Wii U. Minecraft: Story Mode will be released on January 21st, 2016 for Wii U.
