It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No, it’s Tom Cruise ON the side of a plane.
Since last summer, we’ve known another Mission Impossible was just around the corner. What we didn’t know was just how series protagonist and IMF agent Ethan Hunt was going to top scaling the skyscrapers of Dubai. Now, we might have a guess.
Entitled, “Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation,” director Christopher McQuarrie’s spin on the world’s most famous A-Team of American spies sees Hunt and company tracked down by The Syndicate, a “rogue nation” of highly-trained rogue assassins, if you will. Styled as an “anti-IMF,” the troop of killers are coming after our heroes by any means necessary and Hunt plans on returning the thought in kind.
You can get a sneak peek of the world debut trailer that’s due tomorrow in the video above. Hold onto something. Ethan Hunt would probably like to.
Rogue Nation will see Tom Cruise’s fifth onscreen return this July 31st as IMF agent Ethan Hunt alongside Ghost Protocol‘s Jeremy Renner and Simon Pegg. Joining them are newcomers Ving Rhames, Sean Harris, Rebecca Ferguson, Simon McBurney, Zhang Jingchu, and Alec Baldwin as the Head of the CIA.
