In a recent Q&A with analysts, Shigeru Miyamoto hinted that he isn’t quite finished with the Pikmin franchise just yet. When asked about the short Pikmin films he helped make earlier this year, the legendary developer said:
“Continually launching campaigns after the release of software will lay the groundwork for the next iteration of ‘Pikmin’ in the future. And needless to say, we want it to be one of the motivations for potential consumers to purchase Wii U. We are making a variety of different efforts.”
In the same Q&A session, Miyamoto hinted that Nintendo is working on more spin offs and that it is planning more collaborations with third-party publishers.
