The past couple of Monster Hunter games have received the free DLC treatment and Monster Hunter Generations continues this tradition.
Capcom will offer free DLC each month for Generations. The DLC packs will release on the first Friday of each month beginning now through early 2017. July’s monthly pack is available to download now. If you are a new hunter, all you need to do is speak to your housekeeping felyne inside your residence to begin downloading the monthly DLC.
July’s monthly Monster Hunter Generations DLC is the Sample Pack which gives hunters a glimpse of what the future packs will hold. Each pack offers various unique Event Quests, item packs (full of useful consumable and usable items), special Felynes and Guild Card titles and backgrounds. The DLC exclusive quests reward hunters with materials needed to craft special armor.
This month’s DLC Sample Pack includes an extra special surprise for anime fans: the Event Quest “King of Lunians” has rewards to craft the palico Happy set. Happy is the joyous and often teasing, cat-like flying Exceed from the Fairy Tail series. Mario and Luigi palico sets can be crafted from items rewarded by “The White Donkey Kong” quest. The famous Universal Studios, USJ, armor and weapon sets can be made by completing the “Flames of Savagery at USJ”. Plus there are other quests, items and Guild Card goodies added to the Sample Pack.
