Capcom released Monster Hunter Rise all the way back in March of 2021, with many giving it generally favorable reviews. The game has also gotten its own slew of event quests since then, such as Street Fighter’s Akuma getting a costume in-game. More events look to be on the way, and today, we finally got some information regarding the upcoming Monster Hunter Rise PC release.
Originally, Monster Hunter Rise was slated for a 2022 release on Steam, several months after its Nintendo Switch release date. With that notion in mind, one might ask, “What would I need to have to be able to even run it?” And today, we now know that. So, let’s break it down.
Running Monster Hunter Rise on PC
Monster Hunter Rise’s PC requirements have been revealed, as well as its release date. The minimum and recommended specs also require 8 GB of RAM, Windows 10 64-bit, 23 GB of available space, and DirectX 12, for starters. A more detailed and minute list can be seen below:

- Processor: Intel Core i3-4130 or Core i5-3470 or AMD FX-6100
- Memory: 8 GB RAM
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030 (DDR4) or AMD Radeon RX 550
- DirectX: Version 12
- Network: Broadband Internet connection
- Storage: 23 GB available space
- Additional Notes: 1080p/30fps when graphics settings are set to “Low”. System requirements subject to change during game development.
Recommended requirements:
- Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
- OS: Windows 10 (64-bit）
- Processor: Intel Core i5-4460 or AMD FX-8300
- Memory: 8 GB RAM
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 (VRAM 3GB) or AMD Radeon RX 570 (VRAM 4GB)
- DirectX: Version 12
- Network: Broadband Internet connection
- Storage: 23 GB available space
- Additional Notes: 1080p/30fps when graphics settings are set to “Average”. System requirements subject to change during game development.
Monster Hunter Rise is available now on Nintendo Switch and will be releasing on January 12th, 2022 on PC via Steam.
