<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Capcom announced today that the company has shipped 5 million copies of its newest release, </span><a href="https://bagogames.com/play-aloy-monster-hunter-world-ps4/"><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">Monster Hunter World</span></i></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">, including digital download sales. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">It’s important to note that “shipped” doesn’t necessarily mean “sold,” so the number of copies sold is likely less than 5 million but regardless, these numbers bode well for the 14-year-old series.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The first </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">Monster Hunter</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;"> debuted in 2004 on the PlayStation 2 and since then, has received five more mainline entries, including </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">World</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;">, and eight spin-offs. As of this month, the franchise sits at a 45 million units sold.</span></p>
