Moon Hunters, developed and published by Kitfox Games, will be released on the PS4 in North America and Europe on July 12 through the PlayStation Store.
This party-style RPG started out with small doodles which transformed into other-worldly paintings into a game idea which was backed by a Kickstarter campaign. According to the PlayStation Blog post written by one of the Kitfox Games developers, the developers of the game were driven by mythology and the concept of what it takes and means for a single person to become a great legend worthy of being remembered by all.
Moon Hunters is a 1-4 player co-operative game that uses a personality test to help determine your personal legend. Each action you choose alters your own legend which becomes transcribed as a beautiful constellation in the dark night sky. The world changes as you complete more actions and as your own myth develops. Your own experience in the game will change each time you play as you discover new creatures, myths and powers. Explore this world to its fullest and watch how it alters based on your gameplay.
