More Final Fantasy HD Remasters Depend on Final Fantasy X and X-2 HD

<p>Square Enix&&num;8217&semi;s HD remasters of <em>Final Fantasy X<&sol;em> and <em>X-2<&sol;em> are coming to the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita some time this year&comma; and depending on the sales of those two titles&comma; the publisher&sol;developer could make more HD-versions of older <em>Final Fantasy<&sol;em> games&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Speaking to <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;rpgsite&period;net&sol;interviews&sol;448-e3-2013-final-fantasy-x-&amp&semi;-x2-hd-remaster-developer-interview">RPGSite<&sol;a>&comma; game producer Yoshinori Kitase stated that future HD remasters for the <em>Final Fantasy<&sol;em> series all rely on how well <em>X<&sol;em> and <em>X-2 HD<&sol;em> do&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&&num;8220&semi;We&&num;8217&semi;ll have to wait and see if these remasters are going to be successful&comma; first<i>&comma;<&sol;i>&&num;8221&semi; said Kitase&period; &&num;8220&semi;If they do well&comma; I think this will pave the way for more of the previous games to remade in an HD sort of quality&period; I mean&comma; if we had to single out one of the vast number of <em>Final Fantasy<&sol;em> titles which we could make in HD&comma; it would have to be <em>Final Fantasy XII<&sol;em>&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&&num;8220&semi;What I can say though is that I hope the remastering of <em>X<&sol;em> and <em>X-2<&sol;em> will trigger similar projects for more of the past games&period;<i>&&num;8220&semi;<&sol;i><&sol;p>&NewLine;
