<p>Earlier this week Mortal Kombat X was announced by NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. Today, in celebration of the announcement, NetherRealms has revealed the cover art for Mortal Kombat X. Longtime series favorite, Scorpion is featured on the cover as well as in key art. Mortal Kombat X is due to be released next year on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.</p>
<p>NetherRealms is promising to bring players into a &#8220;persistent online contest where every fight matters in a global battle for supremacy.&#8221; Fan favorites such as Scorpion and Sub-Zero are back as well as new unannounced good and evil challengers, who will fill out the latest story in Mortal Kombat lore.</p>
