This morning the Mortal Kombat X developers released a 15GB patch for the game on PC after a rather shaky release earlier this week. Here’s what they had to say on the matter:

It seems a bit odd, however, that an update that supposedly just optimizes the game and fixes an issue with replays would reach 15GB in size.

These launch issues may actually be a problem with the newly implemented Streaming Download feature on Steam, which caused most features of the game to be completely missing for most users; Such as the Singleplayer campaign, Multiplayer, and even the credits (Kredits).

It’s hard to say if this patch will fix any big issues with Mortal Kombat X, but I’ll report on it soon.
