IGN have reported how the new console’s operations manual informs users how to make the move of Wii Saves, WiiWare and Virtual Console titles/saves to the new Wii U.
From the post on IGN it seems that the new transferring-method is similar to that of 3DS to 3DS XL where BOTH consoles need to be on (yes, that means either you have both the Wii and Wii U set up on the same TV or across two TV’s) whilst connected to your wireless broadband.
While this may seem initially simple, you are also required to download the transfer application from the Wii Shop as well as following on-screen instructions, obviously not available from the manual.
As more and more sites/journalists get their hands on the Wii U as we move closer and closer to the North American US launch we can only imagine that elements of the new console such as this will be made clearer. We’ll let you know as soon as we get updated.
