MSI Announces 980TI Lightning

MSI have announced the latest addition to the Lightning series of graphics cards. Their brand new GTX 980TI Lightning features brand new technologies such as Trifrozr, Torx fan and SuperPipe. All crafted on Military class 4 components. MSI’s thermal design is widely considered to be one of the best. The new TriFrozr design on the GTX 980Ti Lightning features three 90mm Torx Fans, which generate huge amounts of airflow while staying quite silent. Also the three 8mm SuperPipes included in this graphics card transfer heat much faster to the fins, enabling up to 700W heat dissipation. According to early reviews, the card runs at roughly 32°C Idle, and in the mid-60’s under full load (Case airflow is variable). The three fans will provide adequate cooling, the 980TI won’t even spin at all until a certain temperature is reached, and the overclockers can use the special LN2 BIOS combined with 12 GPU and 3 memory power phases.
