Naughty Dog Would Love To Make Another Half-Life Happen

If your attuned to the gaming sphere, then you’ve probably heard of Half-Life 2 and if so, you’ve probably heard that we’re still waiting on the sequel that never happened – or at least as far as Valve’s concerned. After today, it seems that someone at Naughty Dog is among those petitioning for Half-Life to live on in quite the unorthodox manner.

Earlier today, Naughty Dog director Neil Druckmann tweeted an ultimatum to the PC studio, joking that his studio would be more than glad to take on the job should Valve ever lend them the license.

Naughty Dog, which just came off of The Last of Us: Remastered last year and is meanwhile hard at work on Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End in time for next spring, is apparently working on a sequel to the former if you ask actor Nolan North and may yet find time for squeezing in a third adventure for Gordon Freeman into their schedule.

As Druckmann further tweeted, Naughty Dog has indeed worked with Half-Life 2‘s own Merle Dandridge  for The Last of Us. (Alyx Vance), as seen below enjoying a lighter moment between takes in her mo-cap costume.

The Half-Life series was last seen over a decade ago when its Half-Life 2: Episode 2 originally debuted on Windows for PC way back in 2004 and has since gone on to be available for OS X, Linux, Playstation 3, Xbox, Xbox 360, and Shield Portable. A third episode, or a third game, has been pending in fans’ minds to this day.

Whether Naughty Dog could be getting a phone call from Valve is a matter only time will tell, but what do you think? Should Naughty Dog get a stab at wrapping up one of the industry’s biggest classics? Let us know in the comments below.
