Since the game will have you jumping between the roles of a street racer and a cop, certain tasks must be completed before you can get the next piece of tech or upgrade. Tasks like taking out a number of racers as a cop or evading a number of pursuits as a racer are some examples of what will be required of you. If I had to guess, you’ll be able to accomplish a decent amount of these by simply playing the game and you won’t have to put some time to the side to ‘level grind.’
