Netflix Tells You What Claire Underwood Watches

Many of you might just be sitting down to a relaxing round of Netflix binging this weekend, but what you might not have known is that one Claire Underwood might be too, if her que’s to be believed.

Today, the streaming service revealed to us just what House of Cards‘s leading lady watches on her time off from her scheming with the hubby. In line with many of Netflix’s well-known and so-called “joke” categories such as “Cool Mustaches” and “Goofy Dance Musicals,” Mrs. Underwood’s public que displays a rather eclectic taste in popular to more obscure shows.

Some of the most logical picks include Meryl Streep’s The Iron Lady, ABC’s Scandal, and Chan Wook Park’s aptly named Lady Vengeance, all of which star a variety of heroines and femme fatales dealing in deception, betrayal, and revenge.

Among the more obscure are some very clear cases of the extramarital kind, such as the period piece The Royal Affair, Two Can Play at That Game, and An Affair to Remember. *wink, wink*

A few more include more diverse subjects, like Smash his Camera – a documentary on paparazzi – and another, Ultrasuede: In Search of Halston, a documentary concerning the life and career of the American fashion designer of which it’s named. The list doesn’t forget to take note of Claire’s clean water company “Green Water Initiative” either, featuring Last Call at the Oasis and Bottled Life, both of them discussion the global water crisis.

Perhaps the most telling of them is The Hot Flashes, a comedy movie concerning a “group of middle-aged women — all former basketball champs” who “challenge the current all-star high school team in a tournament for charity.” Maybe Claire doesn’t mind taking a little jab at characters her own age? Regardless, we hope Frank got to see it at least once with the Mrs.

House of Cards returns to Netflix for a third season Feb. 4th, 2015. It will, however, be without Elizabeth Norment, who played Frank Underwood’s secretary on the show and passed away on Oct. 13th, 2014.

Actress Robin Wright will be reprising her character of Claire Underwood alongside Kevin Spacey’s Frank Underwood, but how much of their time will be in front of the TV, few can say. We can at least hope that Frank will get a chance to kill himself in Call of Duty, right?

Netflix has further announced a slew of programs to hit next year, including its reimagined adventures of Marco Polo, the new drama Netflix is calling Bloodlines, and Marvel’s crime-fighting superhero show Daredevil.
