New Child of Light Details, Trailer

<p>We already knew about the existence of Ubisoft&&num;8217&semi;s new downloadable title&comma; <em>Child of Light<&sol;em>&comma; but not much was known in terms of what the game was about or how it would play&period; Well&comma; today&comma; <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;blog&period;ubi&period;com&sol;child-of-light-announced&sol;">Ubisoft has not only released some new info<&sol;a>&comma; but we also have a beautiful trailer to watch&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>Child of Light<&sol;em> puts players in the role of Aurora&comma; who winds up a magical kingdom called Lemuria in which it&&num;8217&semi;s Black Queen has managed to steal the Sun&comma; the Moon and the Stars&period; Aurora must find the light sources scattered around the kingdom and defeat the Black Queen in order to save Lemuria and retrieve her lost soul&period; Fortunately&comma; she&&num;8217&semi;s not alone&comma; as she has a floating ball of light that guides her named Igniculus&period; Igniculus can be controller by a second player and can navigate through areas that Aurora can not and assist in battle by blinding and slowing down enemies and healing party members&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Said creative director Patrick Plourde in <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;polygon&period;com&sol;2013&sol;9&sol;10&sol;4702940&sol;child-of-light-was-designed-so-parents-can-play-together-with-children">an interview with Polygon<&sol;a>&colon; &&num;8220&semi;I&&num;8217&semi;m a father&comma; and fairy tales are about parents telling their children stories that carry values&period; So one day our marketing director said&comma; &&num;8216&semi;Why don&&num;8217&semi;t you make a game where you can play with your son&quest;&&num;8217&semi; and I was like&comma; &&num;8216&semi;Ah&excl; That&&num;8217&semi;s so true&excl;&&num;8217&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&&num;8220&semi;So I had the idea of what if we took the<i> Super Mario Galaxy<&sol;i> approach where you have a character that helps&quest; What if he could move around on the screen and it&&num;8217&semi;s not a nuisance for the parent&quest;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><iframe src&equals;"&sol;&sol;www&period;youtube&period;com&sol;embed&sol;KsB1ydR8NFk" width&equals;"420" height&equals;"315" frameborder&equals;"0" allowfullscreen&equals;"allowfullscreen"><&sol;iframe><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>Child of Light<&sol;em> will feature an ATB &lpar;Active Time Battle&rpar; system meter at the bottom of the screen that shows players which characters will be making a move&period; This meter can be affected by Igniculus using his blinding and slowing down abilities mentioned earlier&period; The dialogue of the game will also only be spoken in rhyme&comma; a result of the game being inspired by fairy tales and poems&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>Child of Light<&sol;em> is set to release next year for PS4&comma; PS3&comma; Xbox One&comma; Xbox 360&comma; Wii U and PC&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
