The Game Awards were last night and Hideo Kojima appeared a couple times throughout the night with either Guillermo del Toro or Norman Reedus. Of course, if Kojima is there, a Death Stranding trailer is near. His first game since his falling out from Konami, the trailers are almost all we have to go on and as with the previous trailers, it doesn’t feel like we’re any closer to knowing what the hell is going on. Check out the new trailer below.

We get a longer look at a sequence that feels more like a hint towards gameplay with stealth elements and action moments. Really though, I’m here for Norman Reedus having a baby inside of him giving the thumbs up. All the trailers up to this point have their own level of weirdness, but this trailer showcased a level of tension and felt like there were slightly more grounded stakes portrayed. My one complaint is Mads Mikkelsen wasn’t noticeably present in the trailer (I’m sure someone will tell me he was some invisible man), but I’ll accept that Kojima might want to save having both Reedus and Mikkelsen on the screen together for a bigger reveal.

Death Stranding is coming to the PlayStation 4 sometime in the future. It will run on the Decima Engine and star Norman Reedus and Mads Mikkelsen.
