New Ghostbusters to be Written and Directed by Makers of The Heat

<p><strong>Paul Feig<&sol;strong>&comma; director of the comedy <em><strong>Bridesmaids<&sol;strong> <&sol;em>and <em><strong>The Heat<&sol;strong><&sol;em>&comma; is already confirmed to direct the new <strong><em>Ghostsbusters<&sol;em> <&sol;strong>and it looks like he&&num;8217&semi;s bringing a familiar face on for the screenplay&period; <strong>Katie Dippold<&sol;strong>&comma; writer on <strong><em>The Heat<&sol;em><&sol;strong>&comma; will be writing the movie with Feig&period; Paul confirmed the news on his Twitter account with this tweet&colon;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<blockquote><p>It&&num;8217&semi;s official&period; I&&num;8217&semi;m making a new Ghostbusters &amp&semi; writing it with <a class&equals;"twitter-atreply pretty-link" href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;twitter&period;com&sol;katiedippold"><s>&commat;<&sol;s><b>katiedippold<&sol;b><&sol;a> &amp&semi; yes&comma; it will star hilarious women&period; That&&num;8217&semi;s who I&&num;8217&semi;m gonna call&period;<&sol;p><&sol;blockquote>&NewLine;<p>This seems like a logical progression given that Feig does plan to add in a female Ghostbuster&period; It makes sense that he&&num;8217&semi;d want to have one of his own on his past female-oriented comedies&period; Also&comma; given their two previous films&comma; one has to wonder if that one female Ghostbuster will be <strong>Melissa McCarthy<&sol;strong>&period; Nothing is confirmed yet&comma; but I am starting to see pattern here&period; No word yet either on how their ideas will relate to the previous <em><strong>Ghostbusters<&sol;strong> <&sol;em>movies&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
