New Need for Speed Game Will be Unveiled Tomorrow

Need for Speed

The Need for Speed series hasn’t exactly been at its peak form for the last few iterations, but they’ve still maintained solid driving mechanics and that signature sense of speed. The series has been alternating with releases every other year since Need for Speed: Rivals – the first game in the series from Ghost Games. Well, according to a tweet from the official Need for Speed account, the next iteration in the franchise will be unveiled on June 2nd.

The June 2nd date was teased earlier in May when the Need for Speed Twitter account posted a GIF of a Motel Vacancy sign, with the date “June 2” on a sign right below it. Then, yesterday, the same Twitter account tweeted out an image that looks fairly identical to the image attached to the reveal announcement with one noticeable exception. The Space Needle is now very apparent, so it’s pretty obvious that the Seattle region is likely to be announced as the locale for this new game. We’ll find out tomorrow, but the thing I’m waiting for is whether there will be more FMV or if the lukewarm to negative reception of the previous game’s use of FMV deterred Ghost Games from doubling down.
