The rumors surrounding the Twilight Princess Wolf Link Amiibo opening a new dungeon in the HD remake have been confirmed by Nintendo’s latest Twilight Princess HD trailer.
The Wolf Link amiibo, once tapped on the Wii U gamepad, will open the Cave of Shadows, which is a bonus dungeon that offers quite a challenge. This amiibo will also work in The Legend of Zelda game for the Wii U that will be released in the future.
Nintendo revealed the reuse of the Super Smash Bros. Legend of Zelda amiibo for Twilight Princess HD quite some time ago, but didn’t explain how they could be utilized. In the trailer above, the mysterious use of the older amiibo has come to light. The Ganondorf amiibo will double all of the damage Link takes. Sheik and Princess Zelda amiibos can give extra hearts to Link in the midst of a battle. Finally, both Link and the Toon Link amiibo can be used to replenish Link’s arrow supply.
The Twilight Princess HD bundle will include the game disc and the Wolf Link amiibo. It will be released on March 4th, 2016 in the US for $59.99.
