For those not familiar with the Assassin’s Creed franchise, Assassin’s Creed III is the perfect place for you to start. There is no need to worry about the history of past franchise protagonists Altaïr or Ezio Auditore da Firenze. Assassin’s Creed III features a new protagonist, Connor, the son of a British soldier and Mohawk mother and focuses on his experiences during the American Revolutionary War.
According to Ubisoft UK gaffer Rob Cooper in an interview with mcvuk.com, he said:
“This is a great time for gamers to join the adventure. There’s a huge will from Ubisoft to bring more gamers into this universe. Assassin’s Creed III is the biggest and most ambitious launch in Ubisoft’s history so we absolutely believe this game will continue to grow the franchise.”
Cooper continues by stating:
“This is a huge investment for us and we’re extremely confident that together, all these factors will put us in pole position to compete against the other titles this Christmas.”
Such titles as Q4 staples such as Call of Duty, Halo and FIFA, plus some recently announced titles BioShock Infinitie (October 19th), Resident Evil 6 (November 20th) and Halo 4 (Christmas).
Assassins Creed III is available October 31st on Xbox360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
