The upcoming Alien action flick Battle: Los Angeles will be adapted to a video game says Konami. The game will be released to Xbox live, Playstation Network, and Steam. The game will have a single player campaign and the player will assume the role of corporal Lee Imlay who fights the Alien forces attacking Los Angeles. It is being developed by Saber Interactive, who most recently developed the game Timeshift which was released for the Xbox 360, PC, and PS3 back in 2007.
Konami’s press release mentioned that the game will be using the Havok Destruction Module. This allows players to interact more fully with the game environment by being able to blow down scaffolding and destroy bridges while in combat and more so increases destruction capabilities.
A definitive release date was not provided but Konami anticipates the game will launch sometime next month not soon after the movies releases.
