News – Jill and Wesker Join Resident Evil Mercenaries

<p>Resident Evil Mercenaries is the upcoming and first Resident Evil release for Nintendo&&num;8217&semi;s new 3DS handheld console&period; It had already been announced that some pretty hefty names from Resident Evil&&num;8217&semi;s past were included in the cast for this game including brother and sister&comma; Chris and Claire Redfield&comma; as well as Jack Krauser and Hunk&period; Capcom revealed this week two more names that will be joining the already star studded cast&period; Introducing Resident Evil heroine and hottie Jill Valentine and what would a Resident Evil game be without the ultra-antagonist Albert Wesker&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Here&&num;8217&semi;s a youtube video of the two in action from Resident Evil Mercenaries&colon;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><center><iframe src&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;youtube&period;com&sol;embed&sol;jgn4mMUd1oQ" frameborder&equals;"0" width&equals;"590" height&equals;"315"><&sol;iframe><&sol;center>Capcom also went into a little bit more detail on the &&num;8220&semi;Duo Mode&&num;8221&semi; feature of the game&period; &&num;8220&semi;Duo Mode&&num;8221&semi; is a two player co-op game where you can team up with one of your friends and fight missions locally or play online against others&period; They also highlighted an interesting feature unique to the co-op mode&period; If your character is near death they enter a poinently named phase called &&num;8220&semi;Dying&&num;8221&semi; and it is in this period a gauge begins to countdown to zero&period; Obviously if it hits zero you&&num;8217&semi;re not going to win a cake and the game is over&period; But there is hope&comma; as your teammate can rescue you during this countdown with a recovery action&period; In Solo mode players can rescue themselves by pounding on the Y button on their 3DS&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>On a side note it&&num;8217&semi;s still not known whether all of these characters will be available from the beginning of the game or if players will have to unlock them through gameplay&period; Thankfully we won&&num;8217&semi;t have to wait too much longer for an answer as Resident Evil Mercenaries is set for a June 6 release in North America&period; Even more exciting is that with the Resident Evil Mercenaries announcement came news that Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil&colon; Code Veronica X were both being ported and re-released in High Definition as Resident Evil Revival Selection on the PSN and Xbox Live&period; I can&&num;8217&semi;t wait for both of them&excl;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
