News Report Uses Image From Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Metal Gear Solid creator and director Hideo Kojima has demonstrated his capabilities of creating breathtaking visuals in the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, but it seems that some of the images are so realistic that a Russian television network, RT (previously known as Russia Today), used one of them during a broadcast.

Sophie Shevardnadze led a special news report on child soldiers for RT, which included a discussion with a former child soldier and now hip-hop artist, Emmanuel Jal. However, during the broadcast a panning shot towards Sophie featured an image of the child soldiers from The Phantom Pain‘s E3 2013 trailer on a television monitor.

Check out the video below at the five minute mark for a screenshot of the child soldiers from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain has also been in the news this week after The Guardian accidentally leaked a release date of March 17th, 2015 in an interview with Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima. Whether or not this is the official release date remains to be seen, but the title is scheduled for release in 2015 on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
