Just a mere few days ago it was announced that Resident Revival Selection, a port of both Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil: Code Veronica, were due out for the PS3 and Xbox 360. Today it was announced that another Resident Evil game will be making it’s debut. It’s called Resident Evil Mercenaries and it’s for Nintendo’s new 3DS handheld game console.
Japan’s weekly Famitsu revealed that Resident Evil Mercenaries is due on June 2. The game will initially only be released to Japan and the development team is keeping mum on when we should expect a final U.S release date. But with past game releases the waiting isn’t normally too long and American audiences should be pleased when the game finally does arrive.
Famitsu reports that Jill and Wesker will be apart of the character roster and that developer’s plan a cooperative play function or a “Duo mode” similar to that of Resident Evil: Zero but available locally and online.
